ok so I'm not a small person, but i've never found a lab coat made for a woman (or even a man) with boobs - come on science is no longer an exclusively male domain! |

Hurrah for big boobied ladies.
Anyone in the UK needs to look out for bravissimo - especially the shops which have some of the nicest shop assistants anywhere.
http://www.bravissimo.com/
They are a total godsend to people like me. It's pricey but worth it to own a shirt which doesn't gape obscenely at the chest or flap about the waist due to being a million sizes too big everywhere else to get the chest to fit. They also do a great range of swimming costumes with proper support and beyootiful bras in all patterns colours and shapes. No longer do I have to lurk about the back of skanky department stores and be faced with old lady 'Doreen' styles or the 50s 'torpedo' look.
I'd say the main thing my G-cup boobs get in the way of are any type of sport (except swimming now I've finally found a decent swimsuit). They can be annoying in the lab, especially having lab coats that are massive everywhere else to get them to fit over my chest, and often I knock stuff over if I'm leaning over to get something far back on a shelf or something. But on the whole I've learnt to live with them and certainly wouldn't want a reduction. They slice off your nipples and sew them back on in a new position, also the scarring can be pretty bad too.
Also I'm a big fan of dressing to flatter your shape. I think a big chest definitely suits an open neck style top, and most indecency/modesty issues can be solved by a pretty contrasting colour vest underneath. |

I posted this on the first page, but I'm very happy with this sports bra so I'll post it again. The ones I tried on in stores were all useless, too big around the ribcage in the smallest sizes, no shoulder adjustment, etc. I was able to order this one in a 32-34 D/DD and it's perfect. Definitely worth the money and shipping.
(Edit: I just realized that you're in Australia, and this website doesn't ship to addresses there. Perhaps there are suppliers where you live that could order this one, as long as you have the brand and model info.)
As for lab coats...yeah, I usually just don't wear one. Besides the D/DD breasts, I'm 5 feet tall and wear a size 4, so pretty much every lab coat out there makes me look like I'm playing dress-up on "Take Your Kid To Work Day". The sleeves are always too long, so unless I roll those up a bunch of times I end up catching them on everything, thus knocking over, say, glass bottles full of toxic reagent, etc. I'll wear one if it's absolutely necessary, but most people I've worked with don't usually wear lab coats so I've never picked up the habit. |

I tell you though, if I ever find a lab coat that fitted everywhere nicely, I'd be buying 20 of them.

Thanks for the info on the bra, will definitely look into it. I only put on the lab coat when there's sponsors around, (gotta look the part), or OHS are wandering around, or I'm working with something especially nasty. Oh and on cold days. Otherwise it's no lab coat. |

| I think my department does labcoats cut for women, although I don't know how well cut they are. I have a problem getting a labcoat to fit me, as my department is dominated by women, and there aren't very many large enough or long enough in the sleeve for a 2m tall bloke! (I'm actually 7cm shy of 2m, but the problem still stands). |

| I hate labcoats, I always have the sleeves way rolled up, but then all my normal clothes (which are usually too long for my short stumpy arms) still poke out and get dunked in bleach/acid/other chemicals which is a real pain in the bum. |

| I inherited (scrounged and stole) my favorite lab coat, it's actually built wrap style so the waist gets pulled in as much as you want and the sleeves are supposed to be 3/4 length, which means that on me they're almost full length. I either need to find more, or figure out how to copy and sew more of them. |

That's the whole point - finding things that look good - I just can't. I also have no knowledge of any sort of dress making, from what the different styles and materials are good for through to an ability to sew beyond replacing a button and sewing a hem - by hand. If we could get things that look good on us, that problem with bigger boobs wouldn't be a problem.
So since finding things that look good really isn't an option, I just go for comfortable and don't worry that nothing looks good. |
I actually meant the chest itself . I tend to prefer petite women, big or small chested. Trust me, there are guys out there that enjoy all types. Clothing is secondary to personality and such in my opinion. |

It needs mending. I'll be working on that today. |

Why on earth don't you take a couple of outsize lab coats and tailor them to fit? |
