I have a publication that has been added to citeseer.
I want to correct it so that the author information and bibliographical entry is ok.
I click on "correct" then the system say to me that i need to register. The system gives a link, but the link point to citeseer main page. There is no help available on the citeseer website. What a crap!
How can we edit the entries ?
Has anybody achieved it ? |

When I click "correct" I get a page with a form with the document information filled in, all ready for me to change and submit.
Since I have no legitimate changes to enter, I don't want to try it to see if it will ask me to register if I click Submit.
The tops of the pages do say "The recent database difficulties have been resolved. Please let us know if you encounter any data corruptions.", perhaps you were trying before they fixed the problem?
Or maybe you have cookies disabled for the site. Sometimes blocking cookies will cause strange results like that. I'm pretty sure I have never registered for citeseer, and it did not ask me this time. |

Ok. I have tried again with Firefox and Explorer and it still does not work. I think i have cookies enabled, since I go on this site and others and it never tell me such things.
Could you try it for me ?
The page is http://citeseer.ist.psu.edu/750397.html
As you will see, the authors name have some junk in it. When you click "correct" you will see the first page of the paper with the correct author names. Please type them and try "submit". |

I see what you mean. I can't see where to log in either. |

Thank you for trying!
Yes. I don't know why. The site seem badly designed. I think either they should remove the correct button, or add the posibility to register. |
